Practicalities
Gentle Fig Nutrition offers practical, evidence-based nutrition support for busy mums and families. My approach is designed to make nutrition feel simpler and more achievable in real life — without guilt, perfectionism, or all-or-nothing rules. The focus is on personalised, practical and purposeful changes that fit around you and your family.
I mainly support mums and families who want realistic, evidence-based nutrition guidance. That can include postpartum nutrition, improving your own eating while caring for everyone else, family meals, general healthy eating, and making food feel less stressful or overwhelming.
I do not believe good nutrition has to mean eating perfectly. My approach is non-diet, practical and personalised, with a strong focus on what will actually work in your life. Rather than handing you a list of rules, I help you understand what matters most, where your biggest opportunities are, and how to make sustainable changes without adding another job to your mental load.
Yes. I am an AfN Associate Registered Nutritionist with a BSc in Nutrition, Exercise and Health. Registration with the Association for Nutrition means I work within recognised professional standards and base my advice on current scientific evidence.
No. Mums and family nutrition are a particular focus of Gentle Fig, but support can also include partners and the wider family where appropriate. If the main concern is specifically around feeding babies or young children, I may also draw on my Little Fig work around responsive feeding and family food skills.
